I use Peter Pan bus (in conjuction with Greyhound) all the time, and I happily pay the extra 20 dollars above Fung Wah to receive a slightly better quality bus on average more amicable passengers. Plus its no fun to shlep to Chinatown NYC when you need to leave.

Last Sunday I was on the 1:30pm express bus from New York to Boston. The driver's name was Benjamin...he was a jolly indian man with bad jokes, but he came off as harmless.

On the way to Boston I felt nauseous and realized I may have gotten food poisoning in New York. I informed the driver during the rest stop that I was nauseous, and he seemed to understand, although he simply nodded his head and said ok just be on the bus as soon as possible.

During the bus ride, I continuously ran to the bathroom to vomit. Finally I could not make it in time, right before we got to south station, and vomited all over my clothes and seat. I waited until all the passengers had emptied the bus to go to the bathroom one last time to clean up the mess I made, myself and to vomit some more.

Upon me entering the bathroom the bus driver got incredibly agitated adn told me I needed to get off the bus. I informed him that I was highly nauseous and that I needed to finish up in the bathroom. He suggested I get off the bus and throw up in a garbage bag. I informed him once again that I was too nauseous to leave the bathroom.

Suddenly the lights in the bathroom went out, and when I opened the door to see what had happened, I realized the bus driver had shut off the engine. I begged him to turn the lights back on so I could clean up in the bathroom and leave but he literally yelled at me to get off the bus. Since I was so exhausted, I complied and spent the next hour in the South Station bathroom.

I have to say I'm truly appalled that a normally reputable company would not train its bus drivers to calmly handle passengers in distress....especially if its something they cannot help. I truly felt like I was being treated like an unruly child instead of a sick person.

I am submitting this blog to peter pan corporate, and am hoping for some kind of response. In the meantime, until I see a response, I do not recommend anyone ride the Peter Pan or Greyhound buses (as they are the same company now), because you would probably get more understanding and patience from a rock, then from their bus drivers.
